The circuit board is very stable due to its layered structure. In strength theory, this is called fiber-reinforced plastic. The combination of high tensile strength in the fiber direction and rigidity with a comparatively thin structure makes them ideal as an optimal holding connection for the thin copper tracks as well as for contacting the sensitive electrical and electronic components.

 

While the circuit board layout is designed by the electronics developer and layout artist, the electronics designer takes care of attaching the circuit boards in a professional and technically competent manner. In consultation with the team, he defines the screw type, the number of screws, the location and the screw diameter. He makes this decision based on his professional assessment and depending on the requirements of the housing in question.

In a further step, the electronics designer ensures that contact is made with the electrically conductive housing. This connection must be maintained even if mechanical stress such as vibration or shock is applied to the device.
